It's like Escher on acid.

About Estherisch: My name is Esther Wijnacker and I am a Amsterdam-based, multi disciplinair artist. (Digital) drawing and painting is my main focus, but besides that I also do some sculpting and an bit of photography, film and theatre.
Going through rough years, I lost my will to draw when I was 15. At the age of 30, it slowly came back. I like to make people smile or look twice and discover new layers in my work. Most people discribe my style as cute, with a (little bit of a sick) twist. Lowbrow art, Surrealism and Pop Surrealism art are big inspiration sources to me.
There are lots of new projects coming up I’d love to show you. At the homepage you can find my paintings and drawings. Some works will be sold in my shop. If you like something that is not for sale, but you’d love to have it, please contact me. I’m open for commissions and collaborations, so please feel free to send me a message if you think we can create something magical together. I’d like that! Other creative projects, like theatre and photography, can be found in my blog or social media accounts.
My dreams? To make a mural and make a stop-motion movie. A mural because I’m curious how my normally small and detailed work will look on a big wall. Also, because it will be a new challenge for me to play with proportions. And let’s be honest, i think I’ll get a kick out of seeing my work on a canvas that big, knowing it cannot be hidden for the big crowd any more. The idea for a stop-motion is an idea close to my heart. I wrote a story about the rough years mentioned earlier. The story is very visual and stop-motion (together with a big love for this technique) is the perfect way to display it. Two totally different things, I know, but a woman can dream, right? And I’d like to keep on making as much art as I can.
